A TOTAL of 23 students from both KEMUDA Institute Kuala Belait and Bandar Seri Begawan participate in the Youth Leadership Programme at Batang Duri Camp, Temburong District. The programme is organised by Outward Bound Brunei Darussalam (OBBD) for three days starting November 13.

The programme aims at promoting leadership skills among the students. Upon arrival at the camp, the students were divided into separate groups before undergoing safety briefing, tour, indoor mini games and team management.

Each group is assigned with a professional coach from OBBD who constantly train the students with many life skills to be a leader. In the team management activity, each group assigns themselves with roles given by their coach and they need to be responsible with the roles for their entire stay.

Several outdoor activities were conducted last Friday such as, trust building, flying fox, team building, communication skills and problem solving.

Yesterday, the students were scheduled to undergo more leadership activities. The students woke up at 5am for the raising of national flag and morning exercise prior to training on ‘Water Confidence’.

They were scheduled for Jungle Trekking and camping at ‘Kem Semut’ for one night, before heading back to Batang Duri Camp today.
