About BDTVEC

BDTVEC2

One of the significant milestones in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) under MOE Brunei Darussalam was the establishment of the Brunei Darussalam Technical and Vocational Education Council (BDTVEC) in May 1991. The BDTVEC is now the local awarding body for TVET in Brunei Darussalam. It has successfully taken over the TVET qualifications that had for a number of years been provided by foreign accrediting bodies.

The BDTVEC Certification and Assessment Policy Guidelines were first introduced in April 1995. It has constituted the first national certification and assessment policy for TVET in Brunei Darussalam. With the BDTVEC continually looking for improvement in its systems, reviews were thus undertaken in the years 200 and 2007 resulting in the subsequent revision of BDTVEC Certification and Assessment Policy Guidelines in July 2000 and July 2007.
