In an effort to further encourage the students to read the Quran more during the holy month of Ramadan, KEMUDA Institute held its 7th Khatam Al-Quran ceremony held in conjunction with Nuzul Al-Quran 1443H celebration, which took place at its Beribi campus.
Present during the event was the proud parents of the participants, along with lecturers and staff of the institute. The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Mohammad Haziq Afiq Bin Haji Mohammad followed by a welcoming speech by KEMUDA Institute Principal Khairy Yusrin Bin Haji Abdul Salam.
The event then proceeded with the recitation of Takhtim by the students and the recital of Quranic verses led by Abang Mohammad Nurhamizan Bin Abang Ahmad.
KEMUDA Institute lecturers, staff, parents and guardians continued with sprinkling of the scented ‘bunga rampai’ onto the Khatam participants accompanied by the recitation of Dikir Marhaban to celebrate the students completing the recitation of Al-Quran. In addition, the ceremony was also filled with the recitation of tahlil in public specifically for Al-Marhum Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim, for family members of staff and students that had already passed, which was led by Muhammad Khairul Ikhwan Bin Abdullah Hazwan, a Khatam Al-Quran participant.
